Acer to introduce its own App Store

With the impending arrival of Acer’s new machines featuring Google’s Chrome OS there comes news from Bloomberg that Acer are also going to launch their own App store later this year, hosting both paid and free apps for download for Windows, Android, Chrome and Windows Mobile.

At this time however the company wouldn’t reveal names of developers or pricing details. It would be interesting to see if Acer’s apps for Android are replicated on other sources of apps like the Android Market itself or Androlib.com or whether there will be a “no-Acer-no-play scenario”. We’ll need to wait and see.
