HTC Bravo and SONY Ericsson XPERIA X10 set to launch in March on T-Mobile UK

To some, the Nexus One represents the perfect Android handset. If you’re an Android purist, you most likely fall into that category, but if you’re looking for a more intuitive UI and more features than stock Android has to offer, you probably have your eye set on the upcoming HTC Bravo. The first live pictures of the HTC Bravo have just surfaced thanks to HTC Source and Omio. The handset is slated for a late March release on T-Mobile UK’s network and could be offered for free with a new £35 (that’s roughly $57 US) per month service plan. The HTC Bravo will feature the same Android 2.1 as the Nexus One and shares many of the same hardware features (RAM, ROM, Processor, Digital Camera), though the Bravo is trading in the trackball for an optical joystick and the front capacitive buttons for hard buttons.

If the HTC bravo doesn’t excite you, then maybe the SONY Ericsson XPERIA X10 will. T-Mobile UK will be launching the X10 in early March. The XPAERIA X10 features android 1.6, SONY’s MediaScape and TimeScape applications, a 4-inch WVGA display, 8 megapixel camera, and the same Snapdragon processor found in the HTC Bravo and Nexus One. We talked with SONY reps at CES a few weeks ago and got the feeling that Android 2.1 would be pushed out to the handset as soon as they can get it running smoothly with their own software. Omio is also reporting that SONY Ericsson will be rolling out a £4 million ad campaign around their new handset.
