T-Mobile launches Samsung Behold II for $229.99 online – $199.99 in stores

Launch day is finally here for the Samsung Behold II. T-Mobile is now selling the new Android powered handset for $229.99 with a new two year contract or $449.99 if you opt for the Even More Plus plan. The Samsung Behold II is the fourth Android phone on T-Mobile in just over a year. The Behold II features a 3.2-inch AMOLED, 5MP autofocus camera with flash, and 3.5mm headphone jack. What’s a bit shocking is that it only has a 1000mAh battery and a 528 MHz processor (much slower than the 800 MHz processor on the Sprint Samsung Moment). Those who venture to buy the new handset will be treated to Samsung’s TouchWiz UI with a 3D media cube on top of Google’s Android OS.
The Samsung Behold II will include:
- Battery
- Charger
- USB Cable
- Stereo Hands-Free Headset
- 2GB SD Card
- Carrying case

UPDATE Just got back from the downtown Minneapolis T-Mobile store. Turns out, they are seeling it for $199.99 in retail location as opposed to the $229.99 listing on T-Mobile website. I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen a phone sell for less at retail than online.
